FAQ
Straight answers.
Do I need to buy new software?
Usually not. We work with the phone line and scheduling tools you already use. If a small add-on is needed, like a texting number, we'll show you the exact cost before anything is set up.
Will my customers know it's automated?
The texts are short and written in your voice. For example: “Hi, this is [Your Shop Name]. Sorry we missed your call, we're on a job. What can we help with?” Most people just care that someone got back to them fast.
Is this legal? I've heard texting rules are strict.
They are, and we take them seriously. We only text people who called you or asked to hear from you, we register your texting with the carriers, and we include opt-out wording (“Reply STOP to opt out”) where it's required.
I already use Jobber or Housecall Pro. Does this replace it?
No. It plugs into what you already have. Your software stays the one place where jobs live; we just make sure leads and follow-ups don't fall through the cracks.
Who owns the setup if I cancel?
You do. Everything is built in accounts you control. If you cancel the monthly plan, the automations keep running; you just won't have us watching them and making fixes.
Is there a contract?
No long-term contract. Monthly plans are month-to-month, and you can cancel any time with 30 days' notice.
How much of my time does this take?
About an hour in total: the 15-minute intro call, a 30–45 minute setup call so we can get access and learn your wording, and a quick review before launch.
What trades do you work with?
We focus on HVAC and plumbing, and also work with electricians, garage door companies and other home-service shops that live and die by the phone.
